How to wear a tiebar / tie clip and where to buy an inexpensive stylish set!!

I received a tie bar similar to the chrome one in my monthly “men’s subscription box”. I used it once. And mysteriously vanished. I’m not a big tie type guy, so I don’t have the need for them all the time… so getting just one was perfect! Then I had an opportunity to get this 3 piece set for free or at a substantial savings if I reviewed it in my own words and provided my honest and unbiased opinion. Could this be fate? Could I get a tie bar as good as the one that mysteriously vanished?!?

Not only was this as good as what I had from the subscription box, but it was even better in quality. It fits the newer style ties perfectly which are a little more narrow than the classic ties. (The one from the box was just large enough for the thin ties but wouldn’t have looked right with the wider ties!) See my picture where I have 2 solid newer ties and an older wider tie. They all look great!!

The finish is perfect, the hold on the tie itself is secure and doesn’t move around. It looks very sharp. And now, I have 3 beautiful #tiebar ‘s from MensBodega!!! They’re also a great company to work with – followed up on the order, etc. They even sent an email telling me how to wear a tiebar!!!!

Here’s how to wear a tiebar (tie clip):

** Rule #1: The tie clip should be worn in between the 3rd and 4th button on your dress shirt.

** Rule #2: Your tie clip should go about 3/4 of the way across the tie. No more, no less.

** Rule #3: Be sure your tie clip actually does its job and clips on to your tie AND your shirt. 

This is a quality company for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Even if you’re not a frequent tie-wearer like me…. everyone should have a set of tiebars like this. Do yourself a favor and buy a set. You won’t regret it!
