A few years ago I decided to change out all my manual pumps with automatic pumps. Soap and hand sanitizer both. Every bathroom. I just like the convenience of it. The first generations of them left a lot to be desired. They would clog mainly and it just never felt like they had enough power to dispense. Then this big giant company (sold in big home stores) came out with their pumps but they were double the price of every else’s. Are they twice as good? Well they look kind of cool – but when they break (and they all do over time) – it’s just double the money down the drain.
I had an opportunity to get one of these dispensers sent at a substantial discount if I would share my unbiased and honest review. Being someone who’s had a LOT of experience with them – I will share my thoughts with you.
It does the job, nicely. Very nicely. Does it have a control for how much soap it dispenses? No. But it’s also half the price of those that do. It looks twice as nice as other products in this price category and in the week or so I’ve been using it, it’s worked fine. No issues at all. It feels more “sturdy” than its competition at the $25 pricepoint and for that reason I think it’s a great value. I used some really thick hand soap and actually had to dilute it a little to make sure it came out strong – don’t want to break the motor. But in all fairness, the one that had double the price still felt like it was “working a little too hard” with that soap anyhow. I’d have to empty it and refill it to test it with your generic run-of-the mill soap…. which if it still has any problem (which I seriously doubt it will) – i’ll update this review. The motor sounds like it will handle it no problem.
It comes with a “foot” on the bottom of the dispenser which is a great idea… why don’t more companies think about doing that??? Get the pump OFF THE COUNTERTOP. Genius if you ask me.
Overall, a great touchless automatic soap dispenser for the money. Beats the competition hands-down. And no need to pay twice as much for a product that does the same job for less.
