Tips For Reheating Pizza – How to heat leftovers
Looking for tips on what to do with leftover pizza and how to reheat it? Good because a lot of people throw it in the microwave and call it a day. To that I say NO NO NO NO NO! No way. Pizza is not meant to be microwaved and if you eat cold pizza, I’m afraid we can’t be friends.
Is there such a thing as “leftover pizza”?
I mean if there’s leftover pizza, you’re doing something wrong! Just kidding. But seriously, what’s the best way to store and reheat that pizza that you just couldn’t finish. First, the trick is to wrap it loosely with aluminum foil. Do not wrap it too tight or the foil will stick to the pizza and be difficult to get off when you go to unwrap it. Wrap each slice individually with aluminum foil, that way it’s easy to take a single piece out and heat it up.
Now, how do you actually reheat it? In the toaster oven (or regular oven if you don’t have a toaster oven). Seriously. Just take a single slice of pizza out of the freezer, unwrap it, and place it in the toaster oven. (ok, maybe two slices…) No need to thaw it out, just put it in and turn on the toaster oven. At around 375 degrees, it takes about 8-10 minutes to reheat. Don’t skimp on the process, let it crisp up. I mean you’ve come this far. Don’t take it out prematurely! Let it crisp and get golden brown and then take it out and eat it. Over time you’ll dial in the temp and time perfectly, guaranteed.
