pH and Moisture Soil Tester
I needed a soil tester to find out what was going on with my rosebush. All of a sudden the rosebush died about a week after planting it in the ground. So I figured I would use a soil tester to determine if it was a moisture or pH problem.
I received this product for free or heavily discounted in exchange for my unbiased and honest review. I put the unit through its paces and here’s what I found.
Do you know it was easy to use and I tested it on known good soil first. It read average moisture and average pH. This was expected…
I’ve been tested the suspect soil and at first it appear normal. I had to reinsert it wipe it and reinsert it a few times before the readings were other than normal. I found a pocket of highly acidic soil that was probably the culprit all along. Unfortunately though, I had to test it a few times in order to see that reading.
I have to take off one star for not reading that right away. Had I not been diligent about testing it a few times, I might not have seen that highly acidic soil.
Overall though, it seems to work OK I’m just not entirely sure why you didn’t read it the first time.
