Unbreakable Wine Glasses – Pool, BBQ, Outdoor Living!

Nothing says “don’t ever come over again!!!” quite like dropping a glass in your friends pool or on the patio.

I do a lot of entertaining in the summertime. A lot. Let’s face it, here in Upstate New York we have two seasons…. Winter, and everything else. When you can count on one hand how many days are above 90 (and that number is counted on one hand!) you have to enjoy every minute of it. So when I was sent a set of these wine glasses in exchange for my honest unbiased review, I jumped at the chance.
I’ve had many, many “unbreakable” “shatterproof” wine and beverage glasses in the past. Most are pretty bulky or pretty flimsy. These glasses are right in the middle. It’s strong enough to be able to push against the ice maker without having to worry about the glass (or plastic as it is) break … THINK RED SOLO CUP! And bulky enough that you’re wishing you had that red solo cup! These are the perfect thickness – on the thin side but it feels sturdy without being overly so. I really dislike thick rimmed glasses….
The drink temperature (i tested mine with sangria) stays cool while the outside doesn’t … meaning my hand wasn’t cold at all! And the glasses are clear. Now I’ve only had them a few days, but I made sure I did one thing first…. Put them in the DISHWASHER. Oh that notorious dishwasher gets my plastic wine glasses every time. It says they’re dishwasher safe on low (which means usually light wash, no high temp, and put on the top rack!!) ….. so what good of a social media influencer / reviewer would I be if I didn’t do that immediately. Let’s put these bad boys to the ultimate test!!!!
Yup! Works great in the dishwasher too. BIG plus because I hate handwashing glasses….. BUT PUT THEM ON LIGHT WASH AND ON THE TOP RACK!!!
The only negative is that there’s a seam in the glass. Not a big deal, for me anyhow. They’re probably the best $5 plastic wine glasses I’ve ever seen!! ($20 for the set, divided by 4)
For the record, at my local grocery store (Wegmans) I paid $9.99 a piece for my old stemless wine glasses which got “frosted” up after the very first washing. Now, granted, having plastic BPA-free wine glasses are far better than having glass in and around your pool/backyard…. but the old ones look bad. Real bad. Functional, just not pretty. These Evino ones are not only less expensive… ($20 for 4, that’s a bargain!!!) but they look better too.
Anyone that’s having backyard get togethers this summer needs these stemless wine and beverage glasses. Oh, and did I mention they’re great for KIDS TOO!!!!!!
