Raynic Raycam X3 Wireless Security Camera

Having a security camera system is like an insurance policy.  You hope you never need it.  But you’d better have a good one!  This Raynic Raycam X3 WiFi Wireless (or wired ethernet) IP Security Camera is one of those GOOD ONES.  It has lots of bells and whistles – you can control/view it from your app on your smartphone (easy to install, just scan the QR code!) or use a PC.  I found both easy to use.  Setting up is easy – I ended up plugging it in hardwired to get an IP address and then configured it for the wireless security settings, etc.  That worked out the easiest and best.  Once it was setup via hardwired Ethernet, I disconnected it and rebooted it.  it worked like a charm!

The image is sharp, very easy to use.  I can’t find anything really wrong with it.  Their tech support is in the process of helping me set it up with my Control4 system so I can integrate it with home automation.  Then it will be PERFECT!!!!!  For the money, you can’t beat it.  They sent me this one for free or highly discounted in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.  It definitely works great.  See the picture for a screenshot of the video output.  Oh and it also has an SD card slot so you can store media there instead of to a network DVR or just viewing it in real time.  This lived up to the expectations and then some!
