7 Patty BBQ Silicone Burger Press!!
We seem to go through a LOT of hamburgers in the summertime. Between pool parties, kids, and “honey what do we have to make for dinner” nights where we are largely unprepared — hamburgers seem to be the go-to selection of choice. Can’t ever seem to have enough in the house. And when you look at the price difference, $3.49/lb. for formed patties over $2.69/lb. for bulk meat – that’s over $4 extra per big pack of burgers purchased. I’ve gone through 3 burger packs so far this year (it’s mid-June) and the season has just begun here in New York. By the end of the season, this burger press will have paid for itself twice or three times, easily. And we are a family of only three with some occasional entertaining. I can easily see this saving a lot more money than that!!!
How it works is very simple. Press the amount of meat you want into each compartment, then press down on a flat surface to make them squared off and presto – you have yourself a hamburger. Pretty easy, eh? It cuts down the time considerably on making hand-pressed hamburger patties. For sure! I did all 7 in about 5 minutes flat. Oh and all the while, saving money!
I can’t wait to try making “gourmet” patties – you know, bacon & cheddar…. or jalapeno jack… or maybe I’ll do a batch where I’m adding some Worcestershire Sauce (or BBQ, or….) the combinations are ENDLESS! Oh and I plan to also use this silicone press to make and store homemade sausage too!!! MMM! nothing better than homemade sausage patties. (i’m not a big casing fan so this will be perfect!)
The one thing that I really love is the convenience of being able to store them frozen and pop out what you want when you want it. A lay-flat solution eliminates the tupperware containers!!! I’m a huge fan. I did receive this for free or highly discounted in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I assure you, my words weren’t bought in any way and I will probably buy more of these and stack them up in the freezer they’re so good!!! And oh yeah, you get a nifty little cookbook with it too!!! 🙂
