Cabinets To Go Syracuse NY Review Kitchen Bath Wood Cabinet

I was looking for new kitchen cabinets in the Syracuse NY area and I was having a difficult time finding anything modern.  Everything was so traditional looking.  I kept looking and finally ended up at Cabinets To Go in Syracuse and I’m so very happy I did.  Cabinets To Go sells Kitchen and Bath Wood Cabinets, flooring, vanities, and more.

Here’s my review:

I had the best most favorable experience with Cabinets To Go in Syracuse. The entire staff was professional and both courteous as well as patient with me as we went through all the different cabinet options, accessories, designs, etc. Ryan my salesperson was incredible throughout the process and I would absolutely go back and do business with him again.

The cabinets I ordered came in very quick and they were very accommodating in terms of letting them stay there in their warehouse until my hardwoods were done and I could pick them up. Upon unboxing them, I found that these particular modern cabinets were a bit complicated (they’re not all like that I assure you) and I needed help in getting them assembled. I called for help and the manager George dropped what he was doing midday and came out to my house to assist. In the end, he ended up taking his own free time after work to help me assemble the cabinets – you have no idea how amazing that was.

I now have great cabinets at a fantastic price. I could not recommend Cabinets To Go more!!!! Great company that stands behind their product.

Spectra Orthopedic Mattress Review

Here’s my review of the Spectra Orthopedic Mattress!! So far now I’ve done a 5 night sleep test on it and it’s firm, contours to the body, and I wake up feeling like a $1,000,001 dollars. Let’s fact it, I get up feeling like a million bucks normally!

The Spectra mattress is 13.5″ with 1802 individually encased pocketed coils… although I’ll admit, I only counted 1801. Just joking!!! Personally, I don’t care about those type of details other than it’s MADE IN THE USA and it’s amazingly comfortable while supporting my back since I’m a back sleeper usually. The bed is simple, modern and stylish, but it’s the mattress that really makes the difference! Seriously… I couldn’t be happier!!!

Here’s the link to check them out on Amazon:

I was skeptical about a mattress that came all rolled up, but unboxing it was easy, just unroll and CAREFULLY slit the plastic wrap so air can get in to expand the mattress. In an hour, the whole thing was completely expanded and ready for the bed frame! It probably would have been even less time but I gave it extra expansion room.

Really good mattress for the price!!

PF Chang’s Home Menu Sauce Sesame Recipe

PF Chang’s New Home Menu Sauce – Sesame Recipe for Mini Kabobs!!!

This is an awesome sauce! Easy to use and SO GOOD!!!

Just stir fry wok (like a hot pan fry) your favorite vegetables and protein (I used chicken with peppers – red and yellow!) and then add the PF Changs Sesame Sauce and simmer for a few minutes to let the sauce go through. Skewer, top with sesame seeds (optional of course) and serve! Be careful, don’t add any salt to this as it has plenty – not TOO MUCH – but you sure don’t want to add any more. If you’re feeling frisky, go ahead and add a little hot sriracha or asian hot garlic to it for an extra kick! SO GOOD!!!!

Polaroid Zip Review Zink Instant Photo Printer

Remember the old Polaroid 600 Instant Cameras? “Shake it like a Polaroid Picture” was a real thing. (Sidenote: new Polaroid Pictures you should NOT shake. I did not know this.  Go ahead and google “Should I shake a polaroid picture”.  CNN and other media outlets warn not to shake the picture.  You learn something new every day don’t you?)

The image “never touches air, so shaking or waving has no effect,” the company said on its site. “In fact, shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause ‘blobs’ in the picture.”

Anyhow, this is a hands on in depth review of the Polaroid Zip Zink Instant Photo Printer … which you don’t need to shake!  ZINK stands for Zero Ink Technology.  There’s no ribbons or cartridges, no ink, no smudge, just a perfect image in seconds.

Let’s talk about the Zink Zero Ink technology.  There’s a great article over at that explains What is Zink Zero-Ink Photo Printing and How Does it Work? A really excellent article and I recommend you read it.  Tons of information on what Zink is all about.  Now let’s look at the Zip Printer:

The photo printer is small and very portable. Comes in a couple different colors and is pretty much ready to go.  Nothing elaborate or difficult to assemble.  Unbox and start the process!

The printer paper is not a Polaroid Film, but rather Zink Smartsheet Photo Paper.  It’s easy to install, just ensure you have it the right way and load the Polaroid Zip with the Photo Paper the way you would any standard printer.  50 Sheets of Paper were very inexpensive as compared to what Polaroid actual film costs!!  It’s 2 inch by 3 inch and compatible with the Polaroid Snap, Snap Touch, Z2300, SocialMatic Instant Camera, as well as this Zip Instant Printer.  And there’s also “fun packs” with different bundles and combinations.  They are very affordable and a great alternative to the traditional Polaroid film.

Now, one minor thing to note, this Zip Printer came with a URL Scan Code that was supposed to take you to the iPhone App Store to download the application quickly and easily.  It did not work:

Don’t worry about that though.  I literally went into the iPhone App Store and just typed in Polaroid Zip and it came right up immediately.  The app is super easy to use, just import the picture you want to print, there’s a variety of stickers / emojis you can add – add text if you want – and once the image is how you want it, send it to the printer.  Connecting the app to the phone was easy, connects via Bluetooth – just search for the device and click connect.  Out of the box it’s ready to pair with your android or iPhone in seconds!

Once you send to the printer, in under 30 seconds you have a perfect image on the 2″x3″ Zink Paper that’s crystal clear and also the paper is peel and stick.  Yes, the entire photo is a sticker.  It’s borderless so it’s actually a bigger image than the Polaroid Film Prints – and much more versatile, too.   Quick and easy.  Oh and it’s FUN TOO.  Kids love making their own stickers and it’s inexpensive enough that you can let them do a bunch and not feel like you’re wasting a lot of money.

It makes a great addition to scrapbooks, photo albums, or use clips and build a little display with them!  Hang them in your room, office, or use at an event for decoration!

In summary, the Polaroid Zip Printer is a lot of fun to use, makes high quality Zero Ink (ZINK) images on small 2″x3″ peel and stick photo paper.  It’s economical, easy to use, versatile, and images come out in seconds.  It connects via Bluetooth to your iPad, iPhone, or Android device.  Deep vibrant color images that are smudge proof and long lasting.  It’s an incredible deal and makes the perfect gift for the hard to buy for people on your shopping list.

Kasda AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router Review

Here’s the review of the Kasda AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router.  For under $64 on Amazon, I figured I’d give it a try – it’s a strong contender in the wireless router space and very reasonably priced.  Let’s get to the details.

First, it has a USB3.0 port so you can connect an external hard drive and use it as shared storage.  It has 4 10/100/1000Mbps LAN ports and of course your WAN port so that’s pretty standard.  The LAN ports perform as any other good switch does.  Under the hood it has a high performance 800MHz Dual Core processor so throughput is very good.

The setup … well, that wasn’t perfect.  First of all, I was trying to set it up without a WAN connection which I’ve been able to do on any other router.  My service provider gives me static addresses so I should be able to input it into the router — basically set it up BEFORE i deploy it — and connect it to the WAN and it should work.  Well, this Kasda router did not like that.  It wouldn’t save the static IP address settings and it kept defaulting back to DHCP.  I connected it to the WAN port, did the exact same setup, and it worked.  So this is clearly a design flaw.  Also, since I wasn’t connected to the internet, i couldn’t use their “” URL to setup the router.  Why they didn’t include the default IP address in the manual is beyond me. I know how to find the default IP address of the router, but someone else might not.  The default IP address of the Kasda AC1200 Router is  You’re welcome.  Otherwise, the setup went smoothly.  First time through you set an admin password / login password.  This does not come with a default admin password, just so you know.

I did a speed test and compared it with my Netgear N600 WNDR3700  which I thought was a pretty good performer.  Compared to the Kasda AC1200 Wireless Router, the Netgear router isn’t nearly as fast.

2.4Ghz Speedtest: 40.39Mbps DOWN / 52.66Mbps UP

5Ghz Speedtest: 80.5Mbps DOWN / 83.73Mbps UP

Netgear 2.4Ghz: 11.88Mbps DOWN / 10.40Mbps UP

Huge difference!  I honestly thought my Netgear was fast.  Not in comparison by any means.  This was on an 80MB Verizon FiOS circuit.

And the “advanced” button at the top gives expert/power users the ability to really configure their router.  Firewall rules, IP routing, logs, even graphs!  That’s something my Netgear and Linksys routers don’t have!  It’s a nice unix router, especially for the price.

Retinol / Retinoid Solution Thermal Face Mask Review

What is a retinoid / retinol solution?  Don’t know do you?  The term describes vitamin A derivatives that unclog pores, boost collagen to reduce fine lines, and speed cell turnover to even out discoloration and smooth the skin—sometimes in as little as four weeks. The first retinoid—tretinoin—was FDA approved (under the brand name Retin-A) almost 40 years ago as a prescription acne treatment. Dermatologists soon noticed that patients on Retin-A experienced not just clearer but softer, brighter, less-lined skin. Today there are three prescription-strength retinoids: tretinoin (brands include Atralin, Avita, Retin-A, Retin-A Micro, Renova), tazarotene (Avage, Tazorac), and adapalene (Differin). Many dermatologists find tazarotene stronger (and potentially more irritating) than tretinoin; adapalene is the gentlest but may be less effective.

Vivo Per Lei Laboratories Retinol Wrinkle Solution is an excellent self heating thermal mask.  It’s like a mud mask, just a thin layer gets applied and it hardens up.  Then apply a little more on top if you want more of a thermal experience!! Massage in for a minute and then let it sit for 10 minutes.  Rinse off and your skin feels absolutely amazing!  It really works!  Visibly noticeable skin clearing with a healthy glow can be yours.  It provides a thorough cleaning with essential nutrients for your skin.  It dissolves dirt, makeup residue, and other impurities.  This is a great product at a great price!
